38 ¼” overall, 31 ½” double edged blade with long central narrow fuller stamped ‘ J.J.Runkel Sohlingen’ and engraved on both sides with Royal cipher with ‘Royals’ below in a ribbon. Gilt hilt with double folding shell guard, urn pommel and twisted silver wire grip. In its gilt brass leather mounted scabbard with frog stud and ‘S. Brunn 56 Charring Cross London’ in a tablet.
Circa1805-1808 .
In good condition, gilt rubbed, minor staining to blade.
