A Very Fine Cased Pair of Over and Under Flintlock Pistols by Staudenmayer London. 11 ¼” overall, 5 ½” round over and under 32 bore sighted barrels with bead fore sight, engraved ‘STAUDENMAYER, LONDON’, signed on the upper flat, engraved breech tang, platinum touch holes fitted with standing back sight. Flat stepped border and foliate engraved side locks, engraved ‘STAUDENMAYER’, with push-on safety, swan necked throat hole cocks with waterproof ‘V ‘ shaped pans, engraved steel mounts including trigger guard decorated with a trophy of arms and figured walnut full stocks with chequered rounded butts, with swivel ramrod. Contained in their original mahogany case with brass lifting handle and two hooks, lined with green baize, with some accessories including copper and brass three way pistol flask, bullet mound, loading rod, oil bottle, pan brush and flint wallet with later label in case lid.
