A Flintlock Saw Handle Duelling Pistol by R. Hollis. 16 ½” overall, 10” octagonal heavy Damascus barrel of 18 bore, bead fore sight, ‘London’ on flat. Patent breech with two platinum lines & engraved tang with rear sight, ‘R.H’ barrelsmith’s mark & post 1813 Birmingham Proofs on the underside. The flat engraved detented bolted lock with push on safety, swan necked cock, fully waterproof pan, roller bearing frizzen, platinum touch hole. Set trigger, steel scroll trigger guard engraved with scrolling foliage & pineapple finial. Figured walnut saw handle half stock, finely chequered butt with silver engraved band & escutcheon on flat. Silver barrel key escutcheon & fore-end cap. Brass tipped ramrod with a worm.
