Fine Pair of Silver Mounted Flintlock Holster Pistols by Isaac Pratt. 14 ½” overall, 9” swamped 20 bore barrels, engraved within a border ‘LONDON’ & stamped with London proofs, rose engraved tang. Border engraved locks singed ‘I. Pratt’. Walnut full stocks with raised shell moulding around the tangs, silver mounts comprising trophy of arms side plate & escutcheon engraved with the arms of Acton of Worcestershire, trophy of arms butt cap, trigger guard decorated with a flower head on the bow and a foliate finial, turned ramrod pipes, with horn tipped ramrods, one with a worm.

Isaac Pratt recorded as ‘Gunmaker, Hardwareman & Ironmonger’ at 8 Throgmorton Street, London, between 1771 and 1776. He was elected Master of the Gunmakers’ Company in 1778, and was Gunmaker to the East India Company between 1773 and 1774 .
