A Fine Martini Henry Mark II Rifle. 49 ½” overall, 32 ½” .577/.450 barrel stamped ‘NS N.E.P’, (Native Service Nepal). Blade foresight, ladder rear sight graduated to 1200 yards. Falling block action, Crown VR, Enfield 1878, II. Large cocking indicator, short lever, steel butt plate & correct cleaning rod, walnut stock with storekeepers’ marks including Enfield roundel with its 1887 Mk 111 sword bayonet by Wilkinson dated 1889. In its brass mounted Indian army scabbard, with a later buff rifle sling.
