A Very Fine Small Dutch Hunting Hanger. 19 ½” overall, 15 ½” blade complete with rarely found original scabbard. Bronze hilt comprising pierced quillons with rounded terminals, quillon block chased with a bat on each side, separate curved down shell guard cast, pierced and chased with foliage. Slightly curved faceted horn grip of tapering oval section retained by a brass floret shaped washer at the top. In its original veneered wooden scabbard with brass locket & chape with two rings for suspension.
Plain blade in almost mint condition.
