A Good & Rare Long Pair of Flintlock Holster Pistols by W. Turvey. 22” overall, 14 ¾” 18 bore barrels with moulded sighting plane signed ‘W. Turvey London’ & silver blade foresight. Rounded banana lockplates signed ‘W. Turvey’. Bridleless pan, swan necks cocks, spear pointed frizzen springs, Walnut full stocks with mouldings & chiselled iron furniture consisting of long spurred butt caps, trigger guards, escutcheons, sideplates & baluster turned ramrod pipes. Barrels retained with slides. Horn tipped ramrods, one with worm. Later fitted with plates to take shoulder stocks (Circa1790)
