A Fine & Rare Cased Pair of Percussion Boxlock Pocket Pistols by J Bisett of London. 6 1/8” overall, 1 ¾” octagonal .50 turn off barrels with London Proofs, each engraved with double lines around the muzzle, & ‘London’ on top flat, border engraved rounded box lock actions ‘John Bisssett High Holborn’ on left hand sides, hammers and sliding thumb piece safety catches. Folding triggers &  engraved rounded butt caps, the latter each with hinged circular butt trap cover. Finely chequered figured walnut rounded butts with vacant silver escutcheons. In their original fitted mahogany case lined in green baize with accessories including three way powder flask, steel barrel wrench, bullet mould, nipple key & cap tin.  J Blissett original label with the 321 High Holborn address & ‘X.Y. 1839’ in Indian ink. The exterior of the lid with circular brass escutcheon.
