
A Very Rare Royal Naval Brass Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss by Farmer. 31 ¾” overall, 16" round brass barrel flared at the muzzle, with cannon barrel turnings. Struck with two sets of proofs, Tower private proof & Gunmakers Company proofs. Rounded musket size lock with double line engraving, Crown, GR & ‘Farmer 1761’ on the tail, swan neck cock. Walnut full stock with Naval pattern brass fitting comprising flat nailed butt plate, musket shaped side plate, brass trigger guard with bulbous finial, wrist escutcheon engraved ‘No, 3’ , single ramrod pipe & later brass tipped ramrod.

In good condition , some old worm in stock. Ordnance locked naval blunderbusses are very rare, this is the only example we have ever had in stock.
