A Rare Irish Constabulary Police Officers Sword. 38” overall, 32” flat straight blade very well etched with Crown VR & crest of the Royal Irish Constabulary, with proof slug and maker’s address on the ricasso ‘Ireland &Son Ellis's Quay, Dublin’. The steel hilt of Gothic 1827 Rifles pattern, with the crowned harp cartouche, black shagreen grip with twisted cooper wire. In its black painted steel scabbard.
