A Near Mint German Mauser Mod 71/84 Bolt Action Service Rifle. 51 ½” long, 30 ½” barrel, .11X60R calibre with blade foresight, ladder rearsight graduated to 1600 metres. Imperial German proofs stamped to the Knox form with ‘Danzig’ stamped under a Crown. Breech stamped ‘IG Mod 71/84’. Bolt action with flag safety & Kropatschek under barrel tubular magazine for 8 bullets. Figured striped walnut full stock. Barrel retained by three bands, steel flat butt cap, all parts numbered with numerous inspector’s marks. Rifle number 3972 or 72 on all parts. With original leather rifle sling.
