
A Fine Flintlock Officers Duelling Pistol by W.Bond.16” overall, 10” sighted Damascus 16 bore barrel, blade fore sight, engraved ‘W. Bond 59 Lombard Street London’ with two Platinum lines at breech & touch hole. The tang and breech engraved with a trophy of arms. Gunmakers Company proofs & ‘3422’ on underside of barrel. Patent breech, stepped bevelled bolted wheat ear engraved lock, waterproof pan, French cock, roller on frizzen spring, set trigger. Numbered ‘3422’ on edge of lock. Finely figured walnut half stock with finely engraved steel mounts, the spur trigger guard decorated with a stand of arms & pineapple finial, domed engraved butt cap, silver fore-end, vacant silver escutcheon, chequered oval butt, numbered 3422 in lock cut out. Horn tipped ramrod.
