This helmet has been expertly restored by master armourer Chris Dobson. The skull is original, with a repair to the comb: the brow reinforce and neck lames are restored, as are all brass capped rivets. The blue colour of all plates has been restored, based on traces of the original blueing found when the skull was cleaned. Details of the references for the restoration included
