A Martial 2nd Model Colt Dragoon Revolver. 14 ¾” overall, 7 ½” octagonal to round .44 barrel with ‘ Address Saml. Colt New York City’ on top flat. Cylinder roll engraved with Texas Ranger and Indian scene, and including 'Model U.S.M.R.' and 'Colt's Patent' in foliate cartouches, with rectangular cylinder stops frame stamped 'Colt's Patent US’ on the left side. Brass frame and square backed trigger guard, with ‘V’ shaped main spring. Most metal parts with sub inspectors initials. Walnut grips with faint inspectors cartouche. No 9022on all parts except wedge.
