A Colt 1860 Army Percussion Revolver. 14 ½” overall, 8” round barrel with blade foresight, engraved with ‘ADDRESS COL. SAMl COLT NEW YORK U.S. AMERICA’. Stepped cylinder with faint Naval battle scene, brass trigger guard, iron backstrap cut for shoulder stock. All parts numbered 28941 with Government Inspector’s stamps and very faint cartouche in walnut grips with owners initials or regimental number.
