
A Very Rare Fine Cased Colt London Army Revolver. 14 ½” overall, 8" round .44 barrel with blade foresight, engraved with ‘Address Col Colt London'. Stepped six shot cylinder with engraved naval battle scene & London proofs. Iron trigger guard, iron backstrap. All parts numbered 167950 over ‘L’. London proof marks, frame stamped on left hand side 'Colts patent'. Varnished walnut grips. In its original London Agency screwed oak case lined with green baize. Containing a large Dixon Patent powder flask, oil bottle, Colt turn screw, cleaning rod, Colts patent iron bullet mould, round bone box with spare nipples & Japaned Joyce cap tin. With a ‘Colt 14 Pall Mall’ clipped corner label.

The letter ‘L’ appears above and below most of the serial numbers, as would be expected for a London Agency gun produced in Hartford after Colts London factory closed
Very rare pistol, cased London Army’s are very uncommon, maybe as few as a couple of dozen known. Pistol in good condition, some original finish and faded to a pleasing dark grey colour, crisp action, good cylinder scene. Walnut grips fine. Case in very good condition with good accessories.
