This revolver was patented by Slocum in an attempt to avoid the Rollin White ‘bored through cylinder’ patent then held by Smith & Wesson. Utilising an unusual five shot cylinder, whereby the sides of each chamber were slid forward and ammunition loaded from the side, nearly 10,000 were made.
