9¼ " overall, 4 3/8”  blued octagonal sighted barrel signed ‘Dean & Son, 30, King William Street London Bridge’ on the blued top flat. Border engraved blued frame, the right side of the frame engraved ‘No 452’, blued cylinder stamped with London proof marks. Polished steel Brazier’s Patent rammer ‘No 690’, safety bolt on R/H side, Engraved trigger guard, finely chequered butt with horn butt cap. In its original green baize lined and fitted oak case with plain circular brass escutcheon on the lid and Deane and Son label overlayed with T Adsett of Guildford  label  inside the lid, containing double cavity brass 120 bore mould for pointed bullets, cleaning rod with worm, oil bottle, bag shaped copper flask by Dixon & Sons, nipple key, ebony box of spare nipples and a leather cap bag. Circa 1860.
A fine revolver rare with Braziers rammer, I have never seen an example with this pattern of safety spring on the right hand side of the frame, and have not found an example illustrated in any of the references.

In good condition, retaining most of its original finish.

Note: Lt. Frederick Blackett Edward Beaumont, R.E., was granted a patent in February 1855 for a double action lock mechanism, based upon Robert Adams' self-cocking design.,
